Annual Review of Islam in Africa (ARIA)

The Annual Review of Islam in South Africa (ARISA) is presently in its 9th year and has become a widely respected source on Islam in South Africa. We are committed to developing ARISA as a publication of choice for young researchers to share their new research on Africa with academic and broader publics.

Students are closely involved in the entire production of this clear and accessible review. It is compiled and edited by Cathlene Dollar and the CCI who invite people to write about their impressions on developments in religion, state, foreign affairs, crime, arts and medicine, to name but a few. We are gradually moving to include more reports on developments in Muslim communities elsewhere on the continent.
